Arrive in Negombo and settle into your premium beachside hotel on Sri Lanka's west coast. If you arrive early, you can relax by the pool, walk along the beach or enjoy hotel facilities facing the Indian Ocean. At 6 PM your tour leader hosts a welcome meeting and introduces the full journey, timings and practical tips. A welcome drink is usually arranged, and guests can join an optional dinner to meet fellow travellers.

Early risers can join an optional pre-breakfast visit to Negombo's lively fish market. Later in the morning, travel inland to Dambulla in the Cultural Triangle region. The transfer is around five hours with comfort and lunch stops along the way. Arrive at your premium forest-and-lake retreat and enjoy a relaxed evening.

Start early to climb Sigiriya Lion Rock in cooler conditions before crowds build. Ascend via the famous lion paws and summit stairways, then enjoy panoramic views across the plains. Return to the hotel for a late breakfast and downtime. Later, experience village life and enjoy a traditional Sri Lankan lunch; optional afternoon safari may run depending on conditions.

Visit UNESCO-listed Polonnaruwa, one of Sri Lanka's most important ancient capitals. Explore major archaeological zones including royal ruins, sacred complexes and remarkable stone carvings. See the Gal Vihara Buddha statues carved from granite, a highlight of the site. Return to the hotel in the afternoon with free time to relax.

After checkout, visit Dambulla Cave Temples, a sacred cave complex with murals and Buddha statues. Continue to Kandy with a stop at a spice and herb garden en route. Reach Kandy and explore the city atmosphere before the evening heritage visit. Visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, one of the most revered Buddhist sites in Sri Lanka.

Begin with a guided visit to the Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya. Then travel into Sri Lanka's central highlands with scenic mountain roads and tea landscapes. Arrive in Nuwara Eliya, known as Little England for its cool climate and colonial character. The late afternoon is free for a walk, cafe visit or quiet relaxation.

Leave early with a boxed breakfast for Horton Plains National Park. Complete the classic highland route including Baker Falls and World's End viewpoint. The walk is about 9 km and usually takes around four hours at a moderate pace. In the afternoon, visit a tea plantation and factory to learn production from leaf to cup.

Travel to Ella and continue by tuk-tuk to the viewpoint near the iconic Nine Arch Bridge. After lunch, descend from the highlands to the southern plains. Check in at a permanent tented camp for a different overnight experience closer to nature. In the evening, witness pooja rituals at Kataragama Shrine, a major pilgrimage site.

Depart early for a 4WD game drive in Yala National Park through less-visited park sectors. Look for leopard, elephants and birdlife with your safari team. After safari and refresh, drive toward the southern coast and check in at your Galle hotel. In the afternoon, take a guided walk through UNESCO-listed Galle Fort and its historic lanes.

Enjoy a relaxed morning before departing north along the coast. Break the journey with a visit to Brief Garden in Beruwala, one of Sri Lanka's notable landscaped estates. Continue to Bentota and check in during the afternoon. Spend the rest of the day at leisure by the beach, pool or spa.

Today is flexible, giving you full time to rest and enjoy Bentota's coastal setting. Optional activities may include water sports, river excursions or short local visits. An optional visit to Ambalangoda's traditional mask museum and workshop is often available. Return to the hotel for a relaxed evening.

Travel to Colombo for your final night and check in around midday. You have free time before late-afternoon sightseeing. Explore Colombo by open-air jeep for a different city perspective and easier landmark viewing. End the day with an included street food dinner experience.

The tour concludes after breakfast at your Colombo hotel. No fixed activities are planned, so departures can be arranged at your preferred time. Luggage storage is usually available if you have a later flight. Airport transfer to Bandaranaike International Airport can be arranged on request.
