Theavy Tours didn't start with a pitch deck. It started with years on the road—meeting visitors at the airport, sitting in the front seat on long drives, and explaining the same things we'd tell a cousin visiting from overseas: which train seat actually has the view, where the temple dress code is strict, and which small guesthouses still cook rice and curry the way our parents did.
In 2010 the idea was simple: plan Sri Lanka the way we'd plan it for our own family. Clear costs, no rushing from sight to sight, and guides who want to be there—not someone ticking boxes on a sheet. That's still the rule today.
We're not trying to be the biggest name on the island. We'd rather be the team you WhatsApp when you're ready for a second trip, or when something needs fixing on the ground. You'll always reach people who live here, not a distant office reading from a script.
