What Sri Lanka tour packages and holiday packages do you offer?⌄
We offer Sri Lanka tour packages and Lanka holiday packages for every style: cultural tours (Sigiriya, Kandy), wildlife safaris (Yala), Sri Lanka trip itineraries with the Ella train, and beach holidays. Browse our tours to find things to do in Sri Lanka and book your holidays to Sri Lanka.
How do I make a booking?⌄
Browse our tours, select your preferred tour, and click 'View dates & book'. Follow the steps — choose travelers and a valid start date, optionally add a flight estimate, then your details and payment. You can also WhatsApp us at +94 77 963 1634 or call +94 11 224 1274 for assistance.
What is the deposit amount?⌄
A 20% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking. Full payment must be received 30 days before your tour departure date.
What payment methods do you accept?⌄
We accept credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express). PayPal and bank transfer options are coming soon. All transactions are secure and encrypted.
What is your cancellation policy?⌄
More than 60 days before departure: 20% fee. 31-60 days: 50% fee. 15-30 days: 75% fee. Less than 15 days: 100% (no refund). We strongly recommend travel insurance. See our full Terms & Conditions for details.
Can I modify my booking?⌄
Yes. Changes requested 30+ days before departure incur a $50 admin fee. Changes 15-29 days before incur a $100 fee. Contact us at info@theavytours.com with your booking reference to request changes.
Do I need travel insurance?⌄
We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance covering medical expenses, trip cancellation, lost luggage, and travel delays. Insurance can provide coverage beyond our cancellation policy.
When will I receive my travel documents?⌄
Final travel documents including itinerary, vouchers, and flight details (if booked through us) are sent 21 days before departure. You'll receive them via email.
What about safety and health in Sri Lanka?⌄
Sri Lanka is generally safe for travellers. We recommend routine vaccinations and advise against drinking tap water. Use bottled water. Our guides are trained in first aid. For medical emergencies, Colombo has good hospitals. We recommend travel insurance with medical coverage.
Do I need a visa for Sri Lanka?⌄
Many nationalities need an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) to enter Sri Lanka. Apply online at the official Sri Lanka ETA website at least 48 hours before travel. The ETA is valid for 30 days. Keep your approval email and a printout for immigration on arrival.
Do you help with flights to Sri Lanka?⌄
We can advise on flights to Colombo (CMB). Many of our travellers book flights independently; we can arrange airport transfers and connect your flight times with your tour start. See our Flights page for options.
What currency do I need for Sri Lanka?⌄
Sri Lanka uses Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR). You can exchange major currencies at the airport or in towns; ATMs accept international cards. We recommend carrying some cash for small purchases and tips. Major tour costs are paid in advance as agreed at booking.
Are your Sri Lanka tours suitable for international travellers?⌄
Yes. Our small group Sri Lanka tours are designed for international travellers. Groups are small (typically 10–12), itineraries are in English, and we offer flexible booking and clear pricing.
