Families who want fewer hotel changes, a Cultural Triangle base and four nights at the beach.
This displayed route uses a southwest-coast base. For summer beach holidays we propose an east-coast family variation with a revised sequence and transfer plan, with comfortable travel days between each base.
Transfer to Negombo and rest. Leave meals, naps and settling in ahead of sightseeing on the arrival day.
Travel to your Cultural Triangle base and keep the afternoon relaxed. Vehicle and luggage space are chosen for your whole family.
Choose Sigiriya for family members who want the climb, or plan a gentler alternative. Keep the afternoon flexible for a village cooking experience and rest.
Consider a suitably timed elephant safari in the locally appropriate park. Families who prefer less vehicle time can choose a shorter local outing or a hotel day.
Visit Dambulla if it suits the family before continuing to Kandy. Leave time for breaks and a comfortable arrival.
